Statistics service says Russia still world’s top oil producer in June
MOSCOW, Aug 25 (PRIME) -- Russia’s average daily oil production amounted to 10.183 million barrels in June, which allowed it to remain the world’s top oil producer for a fourth consecutive month, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Friday.
Saudi Arabia was the second largest oil producer with 9.95 million barrels of oil per day. Combined daily oil output of OPEC states reached 32.6 million barrels, with Iraq accounting for 4.502 million barrels.
The share of oil exports in Russia’s combined exports rose to 27.3% in January–June compared with 25.4% as of the same period of 2016, and in the exports of fuel and energy resources the share of oil increased to 43.7% from 43.1%.
The average effective export oil price stood at U.S. $336.4 per tonne in June. The global market price for the Urals oil, Russia’s key export blend stood at $333.3 per tonne.
